Damn UV Rays

Every inch of my skin is burned.Just a single touch and Im left with a stupid stinging sensation.
We had our farewell party yesterday in a place where the sun really bursts. We had so much fun. And I am very very tan right now. Unfortunately, my parther in crime, Nadine, was not present. Butit was okay. It was still fun with the rest of the folks. Now I realized that I do really love our section especially my friends. It may sound supid but I gotta admit, I miss school. Well, except the homework, quizzes, and waking up in the morning at 6 am. I guess I just miss being with my friends and messin' around.

Anyway, I watched "The Notebook" today. The movie indeed exceeded my high expectations. It was full of heavy drama but in a good way. The story was the best love story ever. I totlly love it. Tears were just streaming down my tears. I tried to hold them back but I guess, I just can't.
After the movie, I pretended like nothing happened.

I really think following summer days will be lazy and hot. Bored!!! I need some excitement.

The Hilton's trying into the animation world?

I've read from gossip sites that socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton are creating their own animation series based from their own life. Here is a picture of their cartoon counterpart.

I could not imagine how parents would react to this. Like the picture says "HIDE YOUR CHILDREN!". Oh, just thinking of how the animators would draw the making out sessions of the Hiltons make me barf in my mouth. Seriously, why waste time and precious air waves on drawing those dumb blondes?
Pictures from the last days of my sophomore year

Here are some pictures with my friends taken during the last weeks of my school. :D

From runway to celebrities

The Spring/Summer NY Fashion Week 2006 was held last February and celebs crowded Bryant Park, New York. They are perhaps, the designer's no. 1 clients. So here are some designer looks worn by celebrities. They're so fine. My favorites are Jessica's and Kirsten's.

Burned and happy

I was fried under the scorching summer heat yesterday. It was my first summer gig. We went to Nadine's and made a splash. We had so much fun. Even if it means i'll get a tan which I am avoiding. But of course, I had to undergo alot of twist and turns with my mother in order for me to come to her Pool Party.

Anyway, at the party, we did many stupid things. Like they say, "girls justwant to have fun". A friend of mine wore only her bra.Hahahaha.(I can't mention her name or else she'll kill me.)
Also, we had a "cheese stick issue". We ate the wrong cheese sticks. Oh and another one, Mary grace, Grazelle and moi went inside this inflatable circular something (salbabida) which it's capacity was only for a single person. We were like sardines. Then, we decided to climb up out of the pool and dive all together. God, it was so fun. We couldn't. It took us 10 minutes in order to stand up. It was so hard because your body movement should coordinate with one another. It's even harder when your laughing your heads off. I was crying, because of laughing. When we finally managed to stand up, it was pure bliss. We walked together toward the poolside. The Nadine pushed us and we crashed into the pool. Alot of water went inside my nose. But it was fun. Bonding moments are amazing.

You'll just understand when I post the pictures here. Oh, and the video too.

Right now, I am alone here in our house. I haven't eaten breakfast yet. Im too tired to do so. Worse, i have to do some household chores later on. Anyway, gtg!! Mwah!

Summer is in, baby!

School is officially signing off...for the meantime. And the spotlight is now on the sun. Really. It is super hot. Anyway, I added alot of stuff here today. Asa you can see, they're all summer related. I want to bring summer in my blog. Actually, I am planning to change my blog layout. I want to make my own personalized layout. One that screams CHARISSE. But unfortunately, I'm not that technogeeky to be able to know how to.

My past summers were all not worth remembering. All of them were the typical, stereotype summers wherein you swim, soak in the sun, and get your skin fried. It is just too depressing.
I want to have a fun time. Perhaps go to beach parties, shop and find a summer job. But my very very strict 'rents won't allow me to. Sometimes, I think they're the hindrances to my happiness. ;C

Today, was the final day of exams. We had Socials, Health and Music. I swear, I'm going to flunk music. I mean, nobody studies that subject.Really. Plus, it's like 5% of your final grade. So I didn't study the stupid subject and I don't care. Not at all. My sister flunks that subject too but look at her now, she's in UP Diliman.
This examination, I cut down my caffeine intake. I drank coffee only once. Ha! Also, I didn't really work hard this period. Besides, it's the end of the schoolyear.

In the afternoon, we practiced our PE practical exam which is a folk dance. I think folk dances are a bit weird. Especially the one with those hollow black circular objects placed on the knees, shoulders and etc. We're dancing Tiklos and Sakuting.
Here's my summer plans for the rest of the week:

*Belated Pool Party at Nadine's
*As much as possible, avoid tan.
*Plan my summer outfits.
*Find a job.
*fix our chaotic room.
*Sleep. The last time I slept earlier than 10 pm was when i was still in kindergarten.
*Have a haircut. My hair style is so outdated.

And that's it.I guess Im not fullybooked this summer so I will have more time to post entries in my blog. Anyway, i'll post later. Ciao!

Summer has finally arrived! Oh yeah! School year '05-'06 is now just a distant memory. Buh-bye cruel homeworks and f*ckin' long quizzes. Well, at least for 2 months. Anyway, this summer i want to be progressive. You know, not just spending all my time in siesta and be a boob tube. I want to do something fun. Something worth remembering. I'll think about it later on. For the meantime, I'll just breathe.

This summer is a fashion show for me. So, for the next following weeks, i'll be posting paparazzi pictures of hollywood celebs and well, criticize them.Haha. Also, I'll put photos of what Im wearing and what's hot. Here's a piece of it.

Olsen Fashion

Oh, what's that Mk? Stealing an urn from someone's funeral? Well, you look like a thief to me.
With that hideous boots you're wearing. Please take off those leggings. Euw. Reminds me of leprechauns.
Mark: C

Sweatshirts have always been regarded as the favorites of fashion victims. But in this pic, Mk looks good on it. Compliments a "out and about" look. The tight leggings (again?) worn with that blue pump just does'nt work at all. Mk, seriously, what's with you and leggings?
Mark: B-

This is Ashley out in Beverly Hills. Cool. Very retro. Loves it.

The twins in blazers. Blazers are normally for office wear but they pulled it off. Chic and corporate.

Mk out with a friend.
Is that a fur coat? I hate those. Just thinking that an innocent animal payed his life to make that petty fur coat. But anyway, I absolutely love her front-opened pump. The heels are thick but really nice.
Mark: B+

The Olsen fashion is not that bad. Well, maybe Mk's is. But Ashley is chic. She's a vintage vixen.
And besides, we can't blame Mk. She lives in New York. You can wear anything and everything there. Plus, she's filthy rich. If you wear garbage, people will love it just because you're rich. If you have the dollars, you are automatically a trendsetter.

Almost over

Hahaha. This week is the last one for school year '05-'06!! Woohoo! My long wait is almost over. But life, as you know it, comes with lots of twists and turns. Before happiness, I will undergo first the torture of examinations. :'C Anyway, since my sophomore year is coming to an end, I will make sure it's last few days will be a bomb. And i mean it.

Yeah, yeah.. As if. How can I make this week a bomb when I flunked our Algebra Seatwork yesterday? And today, we had another freakin' one and I am keeping my fingers crossed for an acceptable mark. Oh well. Lazy algebra afternoons will be memories in a couple of days.

Here's what happened two days ago:

Sunday
Black out the whole day but luckily, the lights came back just in time for One Tree Hill. Whoah! It's a new season! Finally, it arrived in the Phil. It was airing already in the states since summer of last year. The pilot episode was oh-so-dramatic. I loved every moment of it. Peyton's got this very retro hairstyle. Brooke came back from summer transformed into a b*tchier b*tch. Haley returned to Tree Hill and perhaps, is regreting for leaving it in the first place. Nathan and Lucas are still very lucious cuties. Summer is complete with OTH.

Monday
I cooked breakfast( Part of our weekly routine). As I have mentioned earlier, we had this seatwork in Algebra. It was so spirit-crushing. Really. Whenever Math crosses my mind, I suddenly feel weak and helpless. I slept at 2 am last night so I couldn't help it but to doze off in class. Good for me, it was our Biology class. EVERYONE sleeps in Biology. Back to the 2 am sleep, you might be wondering why a young girl like me sleeps in the we hours of the morning. Well, I am too. Hmm.. maybe because it's a result of my crammimg sessions.Haha. I love cramming.

Empty week

Image hosting by PhotobucketThis week was like blah! It was so fast, It felt like just a single day. I don't like this week. It's irksome and a pain in the butt. Anyway, next week is examinations.Again. I know. What a bummer. It will be the last and will also be the most tiring. I am really not in the mood for school right now since summer is kicking off.So, I expect low marks this grading period. Heck, I don't really care. Summer here I come.

I am really busy today. I went to school and did our backgrounds for our newscasting. It will be our finals for our speech subject. At this moment I am eating almond cheese cake (yum yum! try eating at Calea) and doing our script. Duh. That is what I always do. I am "the scriptwriter". Well, i love my job.

When i opened my blog, I saw the tagboard was full of messages. All smiles for me! I am glad that people finally realize the existence of this crap. There was one from Pat and another from April. Thanks to you! C;

By the way, I am a free girl now. I got over my "issues". I eat whatever I want. Hahaha. To tell you, even though I diet or overeat, my weight still remains 100 pounds. Isn't it nice?Image hosting by Photobucket

Let's talk about: Bergdorf blondes by Plum Sykes

Image hosting by Photobucket

Image hosting by PhotobucketIf you think Brazilian is a nationality, that PJs are pajamas, and that beyond is somewhere far away, then you have never met a Bergdorf blonde. Welcome to the glamorous world of Park Avenue princesses who careen through New York in search of the ever-elusive fiance and the perfect fake tan.

A lot of people would think, “ this book is stupid. It’s nonsense!Plain fluff stuff”. But hello? BB is a funny light read. It’s supposed to make you laugh. Not think. The Bergdorf Blondes are not meant to be taken seriously, as lets face it, in most ways, they are quite silly, but this is hilarious, & I think this is the intention of the author. I found it hilarious and playful. Reading this is like an inside look of the life of the rich and famous. If you loved sex and the city, then this one’s for you. It’s full of fashion and haute couture stuff. (the author, Plum Sykes, is a contributing editor of Vogue.) BB is a happy book. But it’s not really meaningful and deep but it is cute.

Bergdorf Blondes is an accurate and terribly funny social satire on the lives of the young, vapid, and fabulously wealthy. It's a timely and laugh-out-loud look at today's heiresses and the like whom we regularly see photographed in tabloid and style magazines.
This book is sort of mature. Not for kids under 13 or those who are close-minded. It’ll bring out your feminine side and tickle your funny bone. Also, it’s not for the clueless. Get what I mean? I give 3 and ½ stars for Bergdorf Blondes.Image hosting by Photobucket

Riding cars with strangers

Image hosting by PhotobucketSome of you may not notice but riding the jeepney is an adventure. You climb into a vehicle full of strangers and pay a fine for it. You meet people from all walks of life. And to think, this car of persons you have never known before will actually bring you back home.

I like commuting because it gives me the opportunity to think. Plus, you can feel the wind caressing your cheeks and blowing through your hair. But of course, there is always an annoying part during jeepney rides. One example is when inconsiderate people belch smoke. Euw. Really sticky. Another is when your seatmates are, well, some kind of grossie. Especially when the jeep is overloaded. You can barely breathe! Lastly, the security. You’ll never know if the cute guy in front of you is actually a kidnapper or pickpocketer .

Overall, the jeepney is cool. It is a part of the Philippine history. But of course, private rides are the coolest. No doubt about it.Image hosting by Photobucket

self-control

Image hosting by PhotobucketIm bloated. Damn, overate again! Its hard to believe that a thin girl like me would eat so much food. But believe me, it is true. My stomach will burst anytime. Haaay…

Quick recap: I got fed up from my diet and quit a week ago. After all my hardwork, I didnt even lose one single pound. My spirit was crushed. And as expected, I found comfort in food. So now, here I am feeling guilty and disappointed. I was doing so fine and was actually progressing. Today, I have made up my mind. I am starting again tomorrow since its Ash Wednesday. A day of fasting. A while ago was my turning point. We ate out and I realized that I have to break this habit. Its a matter of self-control. You see, I always eat in-between meals. I spend most of my money on them. So, when the proper mealtime comes, I loose my appetite, eat less good food and later on, munch on some unhealthy ones. I am a very bad girl.

I feel sad because people keep on criticizing me about the way I eat. (I know you are too.) Please dont. If you just know both sides of the story, youll take back your words. I am a big girl. I know what Im doing. I absolutely don’t want to end up like Nicole Richie and Hilary Duff. Anorexia is a no-no. I have my limitations. Maybe I’m just having “issues” like every other young souls out there. So, dont judge me. Hater.Image hosting by Photobucket
